Busy Week and Other Stuff

Thursday, April 12, 2012

This week has been terribly busy. My dad is in the hospital and had to have surgery, gallbladder. Also had to have an endoscopy which revealed gastritis. He's 89. So, I've been at the hospital all week with my mother. Also, tomorrow I fly to Austin to visit my daughter. So, I am leaving the assistance to my parents to my capable sibs.

Today, is a sad anniversary. My neice worked in a prison and was killed 13 yrs ago today. I always call my sis on this day, but she has never answered her phone. I think her and her husband, although not gamblers, go to the track and bet, because life is a game of chance.

On a lighter note, today itself has started out great. I was up before the birds. I always like it when I first hear them chirping. I worked out for about an hour and jogged 2 miles in 28 minutes. I feel great. I hope the rest of the day goes as smoothly as the first hours have.

Dad comes home today.

Please do not be alone today as it may make you sadder and you want to keep your spirits up. Lean into your faith and pray through this. You are strong to go through this and keep trying to work on yourself. Lots of people fold into themselves and let depression win. Try to focus on the positives like that your niece was here and loved to be missed and that your father is still here for you to love and create more memories with. Take time to bask in your visit with your daughter and let the love their uplift your spirits. I am praying for you and sending best thoughts and love your way. You will be ok and happy! emoticon emoticon emoticon
