Streak still going strong!

Weight loss and fitness is a lifestyle change and I am loving the changes in my life!!

Last week I was swamped at work and came down with a head cold so I ended up not making the gym at all last week. Well, I take that back. I got to the gym and had to leave as soon as I walked in the door for a family situation. So I did try.
I also was able to work my horse (ground work, base training and barrels) for an hour on both Tuesday and Thursday. I know what your thinking, the horse is the one working here but actually you can burn massive calories riding! My food choices were pretty on target last week and I am working on water consumption.

This week I am back on track 100%! Sunday I did a short 1.5 mile run to see how my knee felt. My legs felt tired and fatigued which I thought was weird for taking 2 weeks off of running. I ran 1.5 miles in 17 minutes.

Monday I hit the gym before work for top to bottom strength training.

Tuesday I went to ride my horse but had the little man with me so I couldn't. I went home and got the boys bikes out and they went with me for a run. I got 2 done miles in 21:58 and felt much better! My knee is doing great so far so I think I am on the come back which is great considering I have a hilly marathon in GA in July.

This morning I hit the gym again for 30 minutes of ST. I noticed in just the two week I have been working out daily I have gained so much strength!! I have increased my weights and or reps on every single workout! I am so excited about that!! Plus I am getting more comfortable with the free weights and lifting with squats!

I also noticed that my workout in the morning has a huge impact on my mood! I leave the gym feeling like I am walking on sunshine (walking with noodle legs and arms that is, lol)

My weigh in day is Mondays for my SSCM group challenge and I was down to 159 Monday from the first official weigh in of 164 two weeks ago. I am sure that some of that first weigh in was water weight because I am REALLY bad about going all day and only having a cup of coffee. I get so busy at work that I don't have time, or want to make the time really, to drink a lot of water and spend all that time hitting the lady's room. I am working this though!! Promise!

I am moving my horse to a new barn on Friday and I am super excited about it! It's only a few miles from my house. I could run there, ride and run home! I LOVE IT!!
Plus he will have a lot more pature, pasture mates, there is a round pen and arena work working him and a beautiful barn! Plus I won't have to worry about my brothers messing with him and breaking my saddle again ( I had to get a new one and they aren't cheap!)

Anyway, that's all I have for today!

Happy Hump Day ya'll! emoticon

You are doing AWESOME!!! I'm so proud of you!! I can't wait to see what that scale says this Monday!! I KNOW it's going to be down again!

Which new barn did you go with? I know you had looked at 2.

SOOO glad your knee is feeling better!

I can't wait to start at my new gym!! I love the 24 hour access. With my work schedule and Jessica using my car for work as soon as I get home every day, I may be getting up at 3 and going to the gym THAT early... good thing they have showers and stuff... looks like on gym days, I'll be getting ready for work there!!!
