YIKES! It's been over a week!

Monday, April 09, 2012

I can't believe the time has flown by so fast. I didn't get to do much on SparkPeople last week, with craziness at work, busy Girl Scouts, Easter, car issues. Ugh, my head is still spinning!
Ok, so girly beside me here at work is all about CrossFit. I am in no way, shape, or form going to try that anytime soon (hernia is the biggest reason). But, since it's like such a big fad right now, I wanted to see what anyone thinks about it. Have you tried it, know anyone who has, etc. If not, have you "taken to" any other fad? How has it turned out? LOL, I'm just curious because some of them sound okay, some really leave my rolling my eyes!

I've never heard of it. My co-workers are into Zumba which I find fun, but I have a bad back so I can't do that either.

Thanks woman, for the blog post. I needed that. You will get back on track, you just have to find time for self in all the chaos of your daily world. Thats how I started back working out becuase I said I never had time and then I thought 24 hours in the day and you can't give yourself 30 minutes. Yeah, sounded crazy so here I am.

That crossfit sounds intense though. I went on the website and the seminars seem to be selling out like hotcakes but its very informative but I have to read more via the free pdf. It seems to be about core strength training like what bodybuilders do. I am reading the journal and it seems like you can get more of feel for the program from here(http://journal.crossfit.com/).

I have been seeing people lately in my city doing things like pushups on street corners and I am wondering if its a part of this. I think its kind of crazy but still going to do more research, you know the whole learning is power thing. I don't think its for me but I'd like to know. Fads come and go so usually, I stick with boring and what works. emoticon
