Busy, Busy, Busy week!

And thank God it is over!!
I don't think my glutes touched a chair (unless you count the driver's seat in my Hummer) all week!! Between the normal management of my family/home, I also had to get ready for Easter (put up decorations and "extra" clean), help my church get ready for/set up the Children's Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday (which took up most of my non-gym free time this week), FINALLY took care of the mountain of mending I've been putting off for weeks (who am I kidding...some of it's been in the pile since last Summer), and dealt with a bunch of financial stuff for my hub's business (several bounced checks from customers who are wealthy enough to have shocked me with it). I also managed to work out to my heart's content ALL WEEK!! In short, it's a minor miracle I can stand at this point. :)
The Egg Hunt at my church ended up being wonderful! We spent most of the week stuffing plastic eggs with candy and making decorations for it...but it was well worth it. The kids had a blast, the parents had a blast...success! I also managed to run into an old friend who stopped by with her kids for the celebration...gold star kind of day!
The bounced check thing shocked us because we rarely get bounced checks and like I said before, the people who managed to bounce them live in big $$ homes. I guess it's just another lesson learned in "appearances being deceiving". It was just so weird to get 4 in the same week! So I had to collect cash from the 3 that were appalled by it (all three banked with Bank of America, and apparently, BoA had some kind of issue down here with holding people's deposits last week and not using savings accounts as overdraft like they are supposed to.) I was "ducked" by one all week, who finally called me back yesterday as I was filling out the paperwork to press charges with the State's Attorney's Office for the bounced check. They asked if I could wait until Fri. for cash...so I told them I would, but also let them know that if I didn't get that cash in hand by 5 PM on Fri, I would be pressing charges on Monday. Waiting to see how this goes, because I don't want to do this, but I REALLY get mad about being "ducked". We work with all of our customers if they're having a tight week or month, so I think it's just insulting when they hide like we're idiots. :P
I had a really exciting moment on Friday when I felt that I was on the "cusp" of a size 18. :) Pants totally zipped, they just looked like muffin top crap, so I'm not there yet, but ALMOST!! My other really exciting moment this week came when I made $8 on the purchase of adult diapers. That's right...I bought Depends because I made $2/box. :) It really doesn't take much to make me laugh, and buying Depends did it for me. I lost it completely when my 4 year old made up a song about old people who poop their pants in the middle of CVS. :) So YAY for adult diapers!!
Which brings me up to Easter...which has been GREAT!! My husband and I are slowly sorting out our marriage in a very positive manner...and today was a HUGE benchmark of the progress we're making! In past years, he has not participated...at all. Which just made it no fun. This year, he helped make the baskets, hide the eggs, made the "bunny trap", etc. He woke up with me when the kids woke up and we had a nice morning of egg hunting in the living room and a nice breakfast. He went to church with me, which has been a new thing for us...he's NEVER gone with me before, and he's been going every Sunday as part of our plan to get our family back on track. We went to Easter lunch at my mom's, and are now Easter thinking about taking a nap. :) But really...so far, it's been an awesome day for us!
Happy Easter Everyone!!
