Getting ready for 70.3 training!

I finally sat down and detailed Week 1 of my 24 week Tri Training Plan - let's see... how am I feeling?
Excited, tempered with a smidge of nervous - I really need to take it easy this first week... if I burn myself out the first week, the rest of the 24 weeks are going to SUCK! So my mantra for the week is going to be - GET IN THE HOURS, BUT DON'T OVERPOWER!

    WHEW...check out your training schedule, you have lots of training ahead of you which is exciting!! I like your goals, those would be the same goals that I would have for that distance! I understand about the base period and fighting the urge to do more, this is my last week of phase one of olympic triathlon training and although I did two last year I had a lightbulb moment when I read that you actually have to stage your training hence the whole training plan thing...duh! Had I known I would not have burned myself so much with doing more and more of the same old.
