Spring Break Day Six - Summer Clothes

Spring Break is the time when I put away the winter clothes and bring the summer clothes out of the guest room closet. Today's closet cleaning was disappointing. The majority of my summer clothes are size 10 and I am currently size 14. I am twenty pounds over where I need to be in order to wear most of my shorts. I keep trying to lose the weight, but have been unable to exercise the way I need to due to joint problems. I did 25 minutes on the elliptical this morning, but it caused some joint pain. Diet alone is not enough for me to lose weight. I have an appointment with the orthopedic doctor on Monday. Hopefully, he will have some suggestions for improvement. I am determined to get moving! Two months until our trip to the beach!

    How about biking? That would probably be easier on the joints. Also, I agree with PUDLECRAZY about the swimming.

    Argh! That is frustrating! Can you get to a pool and swim? Water aerobics? It is so hard when you can't get the right kind of exercise to keep the weight off.
