30 Day Shred : Day 14

Thursday, April 05, 2012

Before i start with my boring workout talk I want to mention something that i noticed today when sluggishly getting dressed to workout. I dress with my back to the mirror since i don't want to see myself not covered up. Today before putting my shirt on i caught a glimpse of my back in the mirror and paused to look at what I saw. I have one large roll of back fat in the middle of my back. Today when i caught the glimpse..... it was barely noticeable and i would like to say maybe even gone. I stared at that area and moved around a bit.... almost cried. I may actually put a bathing suit on this summer?

Now onto The Shred: It was another day that i was dragging my feet to start the shred. I think it's because i don't look forward to doing level 2 as much as I did level 1. Level 1 I was at the high end and completed every task and then some. Level 2 originally took a few breaks.... but I am happy to say that i made it through today with no breaks. Lots of rolling sweat down my forehead during those dang planks..... but no breaks.

I feel i am completing all the tasks more effectively and now I look forward to seeing if I can push myself to do a little more tomorrow and improve my abilities. :)

I really am self motivated and competing with myself with this :)

Second workout on the promenade was beautiful! I love it out there. If you are in NYC the entire east river promenade is a wonderful place to work out. The LES has an added perk of having an additional track and workout area with pull up bars and i highly recommend it! I LOVE it. I can't wait to add a little extra to my run on the track. I do one lap right now, but next week I will bump it up to 1 1/2 times around :)

Looking forward to Day 15 tomorrow!
