An Unexpected Race

I finished C25k's Week 2 yesterday afternoon and when I got home I immediately received a phone call from someone who had found my cat's collar with his name tag and my phone number on it. My cat had lost his collar a few weeks ago but I always keep a spare collar, bell and name tag to put on him when he loses the one he has on. I was hoping I would find this one eventually because I very often do and it's because someone finds it and just casually puts it near my front door (I love this neighborhood). However, this man who is in his late 70s lives like a half mile away from my house which surprised me because I thought my cat didn't like to travel very far and especially when he has to cross a busy street (this just shows me I have no clue what he does when I'm not looking #TheSecretLifeOfCats). But since this man was so nice to call me I told him I would run to where he was and it would take me appr. 5-10 minutes. The man even offered to wait for me outside to make sure I would find him. So I grabbed my keys and ran the whole way and I ran pretty fast for a beginner and probably because I didn't want him to wait for me so it was like a mini race! It was a really fun way to add an extra mile to my workout.

I have the next 5 days off from work and I'm going to try my best to eat healthy and exercise. It's going to be very difficult since it's Easter which like Christmas is a huge food and candy celebration where I live. I'm making cake pops later today! I'm invited to a family dinner tomorrow and I want to bring something with me for my nieces and nephews. I've never made cake pops before but I'm excited to try it out since I love creating stuff like that.

I did start the day with a healthy breakfast though. Coffee, OJ and oatmeal with cinnamon, strawberries and blackberries. Delicious. And I took pictures using my brand new cell phone.
