A New Day

Wednesday, April 04, 2012

Disappointments are hard for me to take so early in my changing bad habits into better choices. I have an awareness that there are many pains that fill my heart, especially when some are so brand new. I need to focus on the progress I am making. That progress is small but my dedication to getting healthier is still there. Today's Bible quote said, "So if we have enough food and clothes, let us be content" 1 Timothy 6:8.

My prayer this morning...

Lord I feel like a failure. I feel less than capable being healthier when there is so much hurt in my life I haven't let you have. My focus today is to turn my hurt over to You. Help me find the srength, conviction and dedication in You. Amen.

Thank you both for the encouragement. I so needed it. Sometimes I feel so alone, and get stuck in a place of fear. I'm learning to live a healthier life. Today I did drink lots of water. I did wake up. I did eat healthy. I did practice singing. I did talk with my son openly about spiritual stuff. I did take steps to living a healthier life.

I know how you feel. A few months ago I just couldn't do it anymore and I was feeling INCREDIBLY depressed. I took a few months off and really figured out what I needed to do in my life to not feel like it was spiraling out of control. Taking the pressure off of me to lose the weight did a lot of good for me and I'm now having some success. If you can't handle everything, take the pressure off. Just make sure that you still eat healthy and get in a bit of exercise everyday. Hide the scale and don't worry about the numbers for a while. It may sound weird, but it really helped me. HUGS!!!

Take one day at a time. Focus on one thing at a time, if you need to! If you can only manage getting your 8 cups of water in daily, then do that. Don't overload yourself. On the other hand, with so many aspects of your life out of your control, you CAN control your journey to a healthier you!
