There are things in my freezer and pantry that I know I just need to get rid of altogether. But... as I sit here thinking about how I can start to eat better again, I realized that are plenty of things in there that I can put together to make nutritious meals. I know that I am going to have to re-program my taste buds as they are hooked on both salt and sugar. I have frozen veggies, chicken, brown rice, tuna, canned chicken breast, and some other not-so-bad stuff lingering around. I see that it's not that I don't have healthy food around. I just take the healthy food and bury it under many unhealthy items or serve it with unhealthy sides, such as my favorite - macaroni and cheese. So my plan going forward is to really revisit the way I have been preparing my meals and look for the healthy alternative. Oh yeah, and take my arse back to the gym!
