Starting over

Ok. I keep reading that people who blog tend to lose more weight...lets see if it helps me. Tomorrow is a new day to get back to my diet and exercise program...Weighted in today at 268....most I ever weighted. Anyone have suggestions on how I can increase my weight loss I am all ears...or eyes in this case lol. emoticon

    The number one tool for me is tracking my calories every single day. Being aware of what I'm eating helps me be more accountable and less likely to eat something that will throw me off my calorie goals.

    Plan time for the gym and make sure you go. If you're one of those people who like to highlight things off of a todo list (I am!) then write GYM on your list and scratch it off when you've finished! Eventually, going to the gym will become habit and you'll plan your schedule around going to the gym. Going to the gym is a must.

    So is eating right. If soda is your problem, don't buy it, drink water instead (in fact, drink lots of water!) If ice cream is the culprit? Don't go down that asile at the grocery store. If it's chocolate? Get dark chocolate instead - I get the individually wrapped 86% squares and hide them on the top shelf in the back of my pantry. This prevents me from seeing it since I need a step stool to get them down, and it also limits myself to only having one at a time, which is great since a serving is 3! Limit your purchasing of processed foods. I only have fresh foods in my fridge and my pantry consists of cans of beans and tomatoes. What I buy is very limited, preventing me from eating food mindlessly since everything has to be cooked if I want to eat it! Except yogurt. That's my healthy goto snack.

    One day at a time, but why wait until tomorrow...start right now! Drink water, go for a walk, get your food ready for tomorrow. If you cut up veggies or fruit and have it pre-packaged for tomorrow you'll be one step ahead and you'll be motivated to start off on the right foot.
