Sorry Madame, we have to remove your gallbladder... oh no! my chalean extreme program!!!

Monday, April 02, 2012

Yes! That was my reaction after the doctor told me that I have to have a surgery to remove my gallbladder. Kind of bizzare reaction, no? I suffer from severes abdominals pains since my second boy birth in last september. I dind't know what it is. I saw my doctor after my first "attack" and all my blood tests come back normal. My doctor told me that I probably have gastric reflux and advice me to take zantac.Unfortunately , zantac didn't work and I continue to have that kind of attacks like 2 or 3 time a month everytime during the night.

Since I was on Weight Watchers I didn't have more of those. Then saturday night we decide to have pizza. At 1h30am, an incredible pain begin in my back... After the pain in the abdomen begins. It was the biggest attack I ever had, I ended up at the emergency room telling the nurse that the pain are worst then when a gave birth to my son(ok, I admit, I gave birth easily, but I maintain that that saturday night pain are worst).

After all the tests, the doctor told me the new... that where I told my mother who were with me, about the big problem that I will have to take a break of my chalean extreme... She look at me, surprise that my first thought was about my exercice program. But then, the pain bring me back on earth and I was ready to have my gallbladder remove right there! But no... no... madame. We are in Quebec here and it has an awful long waiting list for that kind of surgery here... You will have to wait.

So the good news is that I will have a lot time to finish my chalean extreme program and probably time for a 2nd round emoticon. I just hope I will not have a lot of these gallbladder attack. So even if my first thought was for my program, I will had prefer to have the surgery sooner to avoid another attack...

Again, sorry for my English! I try my best, but as I already told, I speak French and I'm still not perfectly bilingual!

So sorry that you have to wait!! As I'm sure you figured out greasy food is one culprit to that attack and more to come if you eat something with lots of fat! Before I had mine out I could not eat lettuce either. Now that I have mine out I still watch the fatty foods and salad type items because they will send me running to the bathroom! I eat much healthier now. The positive side to that is that I was really not down to long. Just could not lift over 10 lbs for a while and light exercise, I mostly walked. I pray you won't have to wait long for your surgery, and a speedy recovery!
