6 weeks compacted

Wow a lot can happen in 6 weeks. I was in a cast and out of a cast. Went to Hawaii during the rainiest time they have had in years. The news on the island was that they had bonafide hail. I had a blast. Camped on the beach, rode a bike up to the site every day. Way cool.
This is what happens on a bike. Normal disappointments become challenges, opportunities and adventures. It rained every day :( It rained every day, every ride was that much better !!! :) 5 miles on 4% grade every day, great training.
OK somewhere in there I sorted out all the details of the epic ride we have planned to coincide with the pro cycling challenge in colorado this year. We will have a great time. If anyone out there is interested contact me and I'll send some details. We will be there for all the craziness of a major stage race.
So today I shared the tandem with a blind guy and we had a good time. What bonded us most was not so much riding the bike but that we are both business owners.
On the way back, just the way things work on these rides, we got popped off the back, red lights, etc. So I started chasing to get back on, I couldn't see the group so I latched on to some harley's and started drafting off them, chasing, chasing, man are those harley's loud. After a while we just relaxed, and in the end I delivered my passenger back to the start line a good 10 minutes before the main group. If I didn't totally freak him out, he might become a cyclist.
