No time - No excuse, March update

So March is over. I can't believe how fast the time went. I survived the first month of tax season and I have one month to go.

The most common excuse lately that I have been hearing from people is that they don't have time to work out. I have used this excuse so many times its unreal. Well I am hear to tell you that the excuse stops here for me and hopefully for you too. While I didn't have the greatest month in regards to goals for March I did accomplish one big goal and that was to get over 1,000 fitness minutes. Oh and did I mention that its tax season. Tas season for me means working upward of 60+ hours a week. So if I can get 1,000 minutes in a month of working 60+ hours per a week so can you. When you start out 1,000 minutes seems like a lot but let me break it down for you. In a month with 31 days that is approximately 32.3 minutes a day, that's it!! How does my 1,056 fitness minutes compare to what I did last year in March? Last year I did 230 minutes. Yep that was all, because I used the excuse that I didn't have time!!

March update

Nutrition goals – Overall 85% B+
1. 8 glasses of water per day – 31/31 days = 100% A+
2. No processed foods or purchased meals (such as restaurant or fast food) 5 days a week – 17/22 days = 77% B- (Room for improvement)
3. Eat within calorie range 6 days a week – 19/26 days = 73% C+
4. Eat a minimum of 5 freggies per day – 25/31 days = 81% C+
5. No pop for 4 days a week – 19/18 days = 106% B-
6. Meal plan and track food 6 days a week – 31/26 days = 119% A+

Fitness goals – Overall 85% B+ (Up from 57% in February)
1. Go to Curves 3 days a week – 14/12 days = 117% A+
2. Walk a minimum 10 miles a week – 22/45 miles = 50% F
3. Get in 30 minutes of activity a day – 20/31 days = 65% C
4. Aim of 1,000 monthly fitness minutes – 1,072/1,000 minutes = 107% A+

Other goals – Overall 57% F
1. Lose 5 lbs – +4.5/5 lbs = -90% F
2. Log into sparkpeople every day – 30/31 days = 97% A
3. Do trivia questions every day – 30/31 days = 97% A
4. Post on the Sunny Gal chat thread a minimum 3 times per week – 5/12 days = 42% F
5. Full points on Done Girl Challenge – 430/430 points = 100% A+
6. Do a monthly goal blog including pictures – 1/1 blog = 100% A+

Overall for the month: 74% C+

Gain in all weight and measurements is bad!!!

    Way to go on those fitness minutes! I missed my 1,000 minute goal this month but not by much. :/ But just like you, last year I would average like 250 a month - pathetic!
