I'm a little bamboozled over the cover story on the Editor's Choice page today:

sp?id=402 The government, in its infinite wisdom (cough, cough), has decided to solve our obseity problem through semantics. Yep, instead of actually making real changes in lifestyle, now we just plain weigh less--it's magic. Well, actually it's just numbers. Instead of 1 pound, we now have 1.1 pounds, so we magically lose .1 pounds for every pound we weigh. I'm not sure how that calculates for me, and I'm sticking to my current weight measurements instead of trying to change my scale to reflect the "new" weight measurements, but according to the article a person who previously weighed 167 pounds would now weigh just 152 pounds. Yeah.... why diet? We can just say we're thinner and viola! it happens. LOL
Oh man, I screwed up and deleted half my post by accident. Anyway, the important part I deleted was that I didn't mean to start off this bright Sunday morning with such a post. I meant to come in here and say a big THANK YOU to all of you who commented and gave great support yesterday for my 50 pound loss (and the 1 pound loss on my comment trail) and for all the great support overall over these last four months. I finally made it to my second milestone of 50 pounds!! Yay!! A LONG, LONG way to go still, but it's going!
PS--I just did the math, maybe it isn't so bad, I just magically lost 30 pounds. hahahahaha (no, still sticking with the original 1 pound per 1 pound method.)
