Broke 190!

It's been a long time since I've been below 190 and this morning it has finally happened! I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom to weigh myself. I've normally been very good about this since I started to work out and track my weight. However, 2 weeks ago I had gone up a pound (from 193.4 to 194.4) and then I had a couple of business trips so I was a bit discouraged. Even though I was still working out I was afraid that I had gained weight rather than lost.

I stepped on the scale and saw the reading - 188.4! I thought - "must be a mistake" - so, I stepped off the scale, reset it and stepped on. Nope 188.4 was the reading - and 21.8% body fat (about as accurate as the measuring of body fat can be with bioelectric impedence). I was VERY happy to say the least. I haven't been this low since about 2004 when I did Atkins with my wife (I dropped down to about 182 back then). It's been a long road getting down to this level - and I'm eager to keep going to my goal weight of 165. This morning was a definite confidence boost - and I've got an 8 - 9 mile run still to do later today!
