Trying To Find Balance

I've been MIA - My hubby went back to work on March 12, after nearly 3 years out of the workforce due to injury. He loves his new job, which is great! And it's relieving having the second income to support our family. However, trying to adjust to him working has so far proven to be difficult. He works nights - he leaves one hour after I'm done work, and he's home 30 minutes before I leave for work. I haven't been to the gym since he went back to work, and I'm just trying to keep up with everything. I have truly been a little spoiled with having him home. He was always very accommodating of me going to the gym - anytime I wanted. He was home with the boys, helped with dinners, and housework and everything. Now, I'm home alone most evenings with the boys - dinners, dishes, school lunches, etc. Oh, not to mention that I am not yet sleeping comfortably with him away. I used to sleep solidly for 8 hours a night - which I need. LOL! Now most nights I toss and turn, and can't quite get into the same deep sleep. I got 5 solid hours a few nights ago and felt that was a blessing. Oh my. So basically I'm getting up with the boys and we are all getting ready for school and work, I work my 8.5hours, come home and do the Mom thing - and then I'm spent. I know that where there's a will, there's a way. And I am NOT giving in or giving up. Just simply laying out my current struggle. I have not gained anything in these 3 weeks - but I've also not lost either. I knew there would be a period of adjustment, but I'm ready to carve out a plan for me to still get date nights with "GYM"! I just purchased 4 of the Eat-Clean Diet books and intend on cleaning up our family meals. We were on a tight budget and food variety and quality was affected by this. Now that things have come back around this will be a big focus for me - it's so important. I am starting these books now, and cleaning out some cupboards and the freezer. OH! I've been using the stairs to do push-ups! At work, at home... If I'm going up a set of stairs then I'm doing 10 pushups each time - I see some difference there. I'm also trying to do 10 squats everytime I get water or hit the washroom at work. So I'm trying to fit in bits where I can. The weather has been wonky - SO nice some days, and then others it's winter again - we hit the track a few times which is walking distance from here and I can take the boys with me there. I'm going to try to find a sitter through the week so that I can hit the gym. And then do my videos at home earlier in the evenings so that I'm not leaving that to be the last thing of the day to be done. If I do it earlier then my boys will be around too, and they are always so encouraging.
Anyway, just a quick blog to check in... I have to do some browsing to do to see what y'all have been up to. I miss everyone!!! I miss sparking.
