March 29 - Gray hairs are coming...... I can feel it!

Why you ask......?

Because I found out last night that my oldest son Jacob likes a girl. I guess I am feeling a little unprepared for this. When did he get so old so fast???

I found out by seeing high lighter marker on his neck and check. Of course he tried to bush it off when I asked him why he is wearing highlighter colors. But I am persistent and would not back down until I got an answer. He kept on saying that it was nothing until he finally caved by the sound of my demanding voice.

"It was a girl....." was what he said. And then he went on.... "and I think she likes me". Gasp!

My sister gave me the high eyebrow look and then asked him, do you like her.... "maybe" with a smile was his response. And then the question, do you think she is cute.... again "maybe" with a smile was his response.

Oh brother..... why can't he just stay little forever. Is what I was thinking.

He then went on to saying that she likes to brush her hands through his hair. (Note to self: That is why he keeps refusing a hair cut lately.)

*** WHAT?*** My urgent reaction was to say, "she is touching your hair? Is she touching you any where else like tickling or anything"?

Oh geez.... I am going to scare him for life.

I need to get a grip on this because he is going to explore these things. He is a boy. He will have a girlfriend (gulp).... he will (big gulp) kiss a girl.... and I need to learn to just let him have those moments. I just hope I didn't scare him away from ever telling me anything again. LOL... Nothing like 20 questions from your mom!


Anywho, so that was my drama from last night. Now onto today's news.....

I am having a pretty good day despite being tired. I didn't want to get my butt out of bed but then before work I was able to get done 2 loads of laundry. Huh... how did I do that being tired? I'll take it!

Had a great arm workout at the gym today that I will be feeling tomorrow. I didn't think I would be able to type afterwards and I seem to be doing ok so maybe the muscles won't be so bad after all.
