Oh yeah update

Thursday, March 29, 2012

Oh yeah, the reason I came in in the first place was to give an update, but it's probably not an 'attagirl' moment -lol. It is a 'whoopee!' one, tho. My finances have gotten so bad that the fridge and freezer go completely empty before I can bring myself to use bill money for groceries. In the process of having little to choose from, I don't do a lot of snacking or eating really luscious foods because I don't have it. The girls (my GDs) like all those cheap processed foods which I don't like, so a lot of times I just wait til everyone else finishes and I'll go back and find something that I like, but don't have enough of to feed them all. At first, I was convinced that because I couldn't afford all the 'right' foods, I wouldn't be losing any weight after all. Well, I got on the scale a while ago and saw I'd lost another 3 lbs! Now aint that somethin'? I feel sure It hasn't helped my cholesterol any, since peanut butter and mayo aren't exactly good for you. But crackers are always handy and so is bread. That 'sweet' problem is exasperated by the bitterness of 'grain' foods, so I don't punish myself unduely - emoticon. I didn't have the $20 for the Dr so I've quit one pain med (oxycodone) I was taking and am now on just Tramadol which is pretty good and doesn't make me as irritable as the oxy does. Considering the doc wouldn't give me a refill of the oxy anyway if I didn't visit, it's become a good trade-off. Ok, I'll stop rambling and go see what's up with the rest. Hope everyone is ok and meeting their objectives. Toodleloo! ~ emoticon Gim
