I promised you that I would do a blog today to explain what I mean when I talk about wearing my head weights, and why, but I must apologize because I didn't keep my promise. I fell asleep before the video was finished downloading.

As an adult, I started going to a chiropractor, at least ten years ago because of ongoing back pain. After taking xrays, he suggested I wear head weights because, instead of my neck curving forward, as it's suppose to, it is actually more straight and the spaces between my discs getting narrower. (My Mom told me that when I was a baby in a walker, fell down a long flight of stairs, but back then, if there were no broken bones and the person was alive and breathing, then everything was alright. Unbeknownst to my parents, I had actually injured my neck) so I followed my chiropractor's suggestion, and wore the head weights, but only on occasion and quit altogether in a very SHORT amount of time.

Well now we are up to this passed year. Since July or maybe August, my right wrist was starting to hurt me so after approximately three months of the pain progressively getting worse, I FINALLY went to see my PC. I thought maybe I had fallen on it but didn't remember so he sent me for xrays. He called me within a matter of a couple of hours to let me know there were no breaks or sprains and that I had developed arthritis. Believe me when I say that the pain was getting so severe that I was having difficulty brushing my teeth, applying my eye make-up and even feeding myself. The pain had gotten so extreme that it would keep me awake, most nights and when I did fall asleep it would wake me.

After telling my chiropractor of the problem, he asked me if I'd been wearing my head weights so I told him I had not worn them in several years. He once again suggested I wear them and firmly believed I would see results.

Since I started this therapy, approximately 5 or 6 weeks ago, I have been diligently wearing them twice a day for 20 minute intervals, and am now back to seeing my chiropractor once a week. The week before last, I thought my wrist wasn't feeling quite as tender and painful as it had been. LAST week I felt like it was slowly getting better and so by the end of the week it had been showing gradual, daily improvements. I can once again use my hand ALMOST pain-free. I am THRILLED with what has been happening, and attribute it to my therapy. I believe I will ALWAYS need to wear these head weights but it certainly is well worth it.

Thanks for taking the time to read, watch & comment on my vlog.
As always, I send you peace, love & sunshine,

I lOVE that you shared this with us. The hubs has very severe back pain and now ankle and knee pain as well. He has most likely blown out his knees due to the rigorous paces he's put them through in the 30 years of owning our construction business. I know the spine controls so much of the I'm going to research which discs control the knees and the lower back. He LOVES our chiropractor and has been going to him for over 20 years. We don't go to doctors here in FL...only this chiropractor who is named Dr. Bohn...pronounced bone...his occupation was meant to be...right?

This was pretty awesome, Ruby, keep it up. I might have to try that myself. LOL Altho I'd have to dig my ball caps back out of wherever they are....I don't even remember now, been so long since I wore any of 'em. My son actually said something about this to me several years ago when he was going to a chiro, I hope it helps to where the pain is alleviated altogether for you.

Walking around the house is as good as any walking I say !! Good to know what the dr's say to do actually does help you. Keep following Dr's orders and you will continue to feel relief.

My brother's spinal cord injury is a C-5 & 6 incomplete. He is a quad since his accident in 2005 and is currently doing a therapy program at Kennedy Kreiger, I'll have to ask him about these weights.

Take care Ruby and remember us at PLOF.

Wow, I had no idea. Quite interesting. I hope it works mom. It was a nice video and it definitely was better to SEE things rather than just have you mention them. :) Love you
