All I pictured in my head for the last couple of hours was a peanut butter and strawberry jelly sandwich. I caved in. I drank a cup of skim milk to wash it down. Thank God for the new day to add to my caloric count. I should eat a salad with lettuce, tomatoes and cheese with a little salad dressing. Why not! I'm gonna do it. At least I will be full.

    Thanks you two! I think I am not going to go over my caloric count. I know I won't. I am glad I did eat something that could nourish my body--protein, vegetables and I threw in a little Smuckers strawberry preserves. My blood sugar wasn't too off this morning. It was slightly higher than it had been on average for the last week, but it was definitely lower than what it was two weeks ago. I'm learning a new way to eating. I have to remember I am nourishing my body with healthy foods. Every step forward counts. Thanks for posting!

    As long as it fit in your calorie counts that was a nutritious choice. The program is about healthy eating not dieting. We are not on diets. We are actively eating healthy food, eliminating overly processed food, and balancing our nutrients.

    Hey, one of the "go to" quick meals in one of the nutrition articles that I read was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, so you did just fine! I myself was thrilled to learn this!
