What's Up ? This is Spring ?

Wet heavy snow has been steadily falling since early morning. It's warmed up some, but the snow keeps falling.
I have an Easter Bunny decoration on my door, but it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Don't think Mother Nature got the message that here in the Pacific Northwest it's supposed to be Spring too.
My best girlfriend, Pam & exercise buddy is back from vacation. We workout in the weight room from 8:00 to 9:00 , then do our aqua aerobics, from 9:15 to 10:15.
I called her to see if she was coming to the gym. If not I would do my weight workout after aerobics. That way I wouldn't have to go in so early.
You see for me to do weights before aqua aerobics, I have to limber up and do 30 minutes of warm up. Otherwise I get sore. My trainer suggested I do the aqua first to let my muscles get loose and warm , before the weights. But Pam can only do the weights early, so I am trying to fit into her schedule.
We did all the machine, I had fun showing her all the new ones in the gym.
When we got to our aqua aerobics class, we had NO instructor. The class was probably a third of the original size. So we formed a circle and took turns leading the class. Only the die hard ones came out in the snow. We all know what to do.
We had so much fun working out. We had music and everyone got to call out and time a exercise. We told the staff don't get any ideas, this was an special occasion,
If they want to save money, not having a instructor is not in the cards.
Today is the potluck and bingo day for the Silver Fit aerobics class.
I asked at the desk if it was still on. They said, " Yes."
So I came home packed up my crock pot with hot pork stew and a plate of lemon miniature cupcakes and went back to the gym.
Did the Silver Fit aerobics class from 11:15 to 12:15.
Some of the members have started to call me "Wonder Women", since I workout so much.
We had a nice pot luck. Everyone wanted to know what was in the Pork Stew.
Mainly the spices I used. Told them I used a Cajun spice rub and some Sicilian spices.
I took a huge 5 quart slow cooker completely full and not a spoonful was left.
We played bingo and I won $20.00, in bingo dollars. I have $165.00 saved. Can use them for movie tickets,dinner out or other things. No cash.
I got to thinking the other day , Why are some people more lucky than others?
What is luck?
Is it being in the right place at the right time? Is it intuition ? Or is is fate?
I bring this up because of what happened last Friday.
I was taking Titan to the groomers at 2:00 in the afternoon. Diana's is clear cross town, 30 miles round trip. I usually drop Titan off and come home and go back to pick him up. Driving 60 miles.
This time I decided with gas at $4.00 a gallon, I would drop him off and hang out. Go to the nearby GW and then to the shopping mall.
I was fortunate to find a very pretty gold,brown with green jersey dress last month and I have been looking for shoes to ware with it. Not having any luck at the thrift stores. I figured with all the money I have been saving, I would go to a regular shoe store or store and buy some pretty heels. I was looking for a brown pair, 3 to 4 inch heels or even a wedge heel. Sling backs would be nice , since I have a very narrow heel, and pumps always slip up and down. I have to have the heel lined to fit. So I had my plan for the 2 hours Titan was going to be at Diana's.
The GW is only 4 blocks from the pet salon so I drove over and went in.
Looked around, I don't go to that one very often.
I headed to the shoes, might as well look. Up and down the aisles, nothing caught my eye. Oh, wait there was a pair of Enzo Angiolini wide strap Italian sandals . Good price, $4.99. But in looking them over saw there was a loose leather strap. But it could easily be glued. Either the shoe repair man or even I could fix that. I put them in my cart.
I headed over to small appliances. Looking for a George Foreman grill. Want a small one. Lo and behold there one was, only $4.99. Perfect.
I then picked up some plastic storage containers.
I looked at the pants, tops, nothing caught my eye.
I looked at my watch I had spent almost 45 minutes, I had leave for the mall.
I headed up to the checkout, and all of a sudden got an uncontrollable urge to go back to the shoe area. I headed over there, down one aisle, up another. Nothing, I am sure I have looked at everything. But just then one of the clerks came out from the back room with some new merchandise. She stopped and put a pair of shoes on the rack. I looked at the shoes. I reached out and picked up the shoes.
In my hand I held the perfect pair of shoes I had been wanting. Bronze and brown, sling back with a open toe. Height 4 inches. I looked them over, there was a scuff,smudge on the inside toe area. I rubbed at it, didn't come off. Didn't want to damage the finish.
I have lots of jewelers supplies, I make and fire some of my own beads. I have fine grit polishing cloths, bronzing creams, etc. I bet I can fix this scuff,smudge..
I go to the checkout, I ask the clerk if I can get the sandals for less because the strap is loose. And the high heels are scuffed . They told me the heels were priced according because of the scuff. but they would reduce the sandal to $2.99. Here they are after I used some E6000 glue and clamps to fix the loose strap.
I got out some of my jeweler supplies and stated to gently rub the scuffed smudge on the heel, and it started to fade away. I ever so gently worked on it, then I polished it with one of my jeweler polishing cloths . One that I use on the clay beads I make. When I had finished you could see no scuff, no smudge. They were just like new. And I could not believe how wonderful they fit and the match to the dress is as if they were made for the dress.

One of these days I will get someone to take a full length picture and you can see how perfect they are.
I know I am lucky to have found these shoes. The way they came to be mine is uncanny.
Why do I get these urges to go some place. Why do we think about someone just before they call or get an e mail from them.
Do we have a lot more ability to use our mind in more advanced ways than we are doing.?
Or is it just a lucky consequence that I decided to take one more look, at the same time more shoes were coming out. And they just happened to be size 9M, right color, right style. What ever you want to call it, I am glad I was in the right place at the right time.
I never went to the mall. I didn't need anything. Since I got my heels for $3.99 and the sandals for $2.99, I figured I have save a lot more money, so maybe I'll just wait to spend it on a spa trip.
I'm looking outside, it's 5:00 and still snowing. going to freeze tonight and tomorrow will be a mess.
I am so close to the gym I can walk, just encase I can't get my van out.
Titan is napping. I had to dry him off from the snowy walk. He didn't like the cold snow on his little feet. Need to get him boots.
I am going to Zumba, so ciao for now.
