One of the reasons I joined the Spring 5% Challenge was because of the extremely busy me that has been happening last weekend and all this week. It would be so easy to just let things slide until things 'got back to normal'.Its giving me the extra push I need.
So why am I so busy? The weekend was two games in a row, one in Toronto and one in Guelph - so loads of driving, eating out everywhere, and yesterday was also the Spring Revel, so there were props to gather and bring, and set up to do, not to mention my coordinator duties.
Today I had to finish cleaning my apartment before I leave on my vacation tomorrow - I don't like leaving a dirty place, especially because I know my parents will be coming over (they are very kind and will be looking after Tanis and Icarus). Laundry, floors, dishes, dusting, and of course packing.
Tomorrow I leave to help drive the 20 or so hours to Saint John New Brunswick (that includes stops for gas etc, but we are going non-stop). And then, its four days of games, sightseeing, and club meetings at the convention. Finally, I get to turn around and drive 20 or so hours back home, just in time to get ready to go to work the next day.
Its going to be tricky, I know this, but I have my plan - swimming, and con camping for the majority of meals (we are planning a dinner out at a nice seafood place), and I did check and the hotel has fitness facilities so I will try those out too. I am paying for it as part of my room rate, I might as well take advantage.
The one thing that will be really hard is keeping up with my reading and activity on Sparkpeople. But honestly, of all the things that would 'go', that's the one. Not the eating right or moving.
