I have a part time job for three weeks...you guessed it, I am the Bunny. Underneath the quilted costume, I sit, sweating profusely!!!! I may not have a lot of time for cardio, but if I can limit my sodium intake I should do serious damage to any water weight!!! Really wish I weren't so adverse to stepping on scales...would have been nice to know how much weight I lost this weekend alone!!!
In any case, I am working at Paddock Mall in Ocala, FL. It is about a 40 minute drive from where I am living. Those of you who were following me at Christmas time know that I was one of Santa's helper's at Lake Square Mall. I am working through the same company just different mall.
The Lord has been blessing me with opportunities to make money since the beginning of the year: computer services in the Villages; house cleaning at the Plantations in Leesburg, Pet Sitting/Window Washing in Leesburg; Notary jobs here and there; and now the Bunny!!! Here's praying He keeps the streams of income flowing!
The title of this blog is part of the lyrics to a song in the Veggie Tales movie, Rack Shack, and Benny. Had to acknowledge because, of course, I love veggie tales!!!
Working has put a serious hurt on my access to the internet. Even when I have access I have been so exhausted I couldn't stay online! That is really saying something for an internet junkie like me!!!
After being in the Bunny suit for five hours today, I got home and decided that I wanted to go for a walk/run. i did manage three other days of cardio this week. Have to keep with the program!
Wrote half a blog earlier this week (I'm pretty sure it was on Wednesday) then lost it when I inadvertently powered off my system or allowed the battery to drain or something. In any case I do plan to revisit that blog soon. Be sure to note in the comments if you are at all intrigued...the title was The Serenity Prayer and CHANGE!!!
Earlier in the week I had decided that I would send a St. Patrick's day blessing out to my Spark Friends yesterday. Alas, I only had internet for an hour and a half and I was too tired...thus I did not make contact with all Spark friends 3/10-3/17. I trust that all my friends will understand! I will be connecting with you this week for sure!!!
Likewise, Team Phi Mu, my apologies for not extending kudos where kudos are due the last few weeks. i will get caught up soon!
Leesburg Sparkers, I will connect with you all this week too. I want to be able to be an encourager to all.
Oh, yeah, I am working at a mall. I am NOT a shopper by any stretch of the imagination. You can take me into a book store, an office supply store, an electronics store, or a craft supply store and I can get lost in time and space. But, when it comes to clothes and shoes, etc...it just doesn't interest me. In any event during a break yesterday I was wandering with my friend who was trying to buy some stuff for her boyfriend and son. I found a seat in Hollister and was reading The Valley of Horses. One of my mottoes is Books...don't leave home without them!!! So I was sitting reading while she shopped. I had wandered around the store and marveled at the fact that many of my former students obviously paid $20+ for distressed T's and other blouses with scant use of fabric etc... and decided that nothing there interested me. Eventually my friend came over and asked what size pants I wore. I really had no idea, and would have guessed that the answer was "not a size seen in that store!" I guessed at 10/12 she handed me a pair of khaki pants (Hollister size 11) that were on clearance (less than $15) that I would be able to wear on the bunny set when I was not in costume. I really did not think they would fit. Imagine my surprise when they did fit, and fit comfortably. Obviously, I continue to have some image distortion issues. still gotta work on that!!!
After a couple days of stressful eating where nutrients were just out of whack and I felt out of control, going to work really did help. I knew it was important for me to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate! and the only refreshing option would be water. I have had a sweet tea a day but other than that it has been a gallon plus of water! I paid for a large beverage at a restaurant that had filtered water and styrofoam cups! They apologized for charging me...I told then I would be back often for refills. Now they see me coming and they say, "O.k. water only?" The cup lasted four days so I got my money's worth. Nothing like some ice water when you are dripping with sweat! Well, ice water and a mist of febreze!
So the Bunny is obviously a reference to my job and Veggie tales. The Buffet is the smorgasbord of ramblings that are attached to this blog! I'm too tired to try to be any more coherent than I already have or have not been. Hope you all had an awesome week!!!
I'm gonna get some much needed sleep!
LYMI!!!
