New PR for the week

When I started the bicycle workout in the book, Ride Your Way Lean, I had an average pace for the week of 14.6 mph. This Saturday will wrap up the eleventh week of a fifteen week program designed to help me lose weight and ride faster. I weighed in this morning at 284. That is down from 305 on Jan 1. I will finish this week with an average pace of over 16 mph. I am so psyched about that. It will be fun to see just how much faster I will get as the weight continues to come off.

    That's pretty neat. The founder and philosophical guru of my cycling says that the most effective way to get faster is to lose weight. Reading about your progress is quite inspiring. emoticon
