Don't Know About This Weighing Once a Week Thing

Saturday, March 17, 2012

Ok. I have given this weighing once a week thing a try. I weighed today and I put on 0.7 pounds. I know there are daily fluccuations and time of day affects things too. I slept in today and weighed a little later than what I normally do. Yes, I know, it could have been a lot worse. I also know that I have been riding a lot the last couple of weeks so my muscle mass is building up. All of this added together could add up to the weight gain.

I am going to give it a try for one more week with weighing only once a week. This means my weigh in day is next Friday. We will see how it goes and see if I can wait another week.

Today was break day from riding but DH and I did play a round of golf. Spent half the day at oral surgeon's with DS getting wisdom teeth removed. Trying to find a train in San Antonio for riding tomorrow. Might just stay home. Not sure yet. Sort of indecisive due to spring break being almost over and back to work on Monday. UGGGHHH Can't wait for summer break. See breaks aren't for the students, they are for the teachers to get their heads back together.

    Hi MNCYCLIST,
I know what you mean about weighing everyday. I usually do as well. I was getting to the point of obsession about it. I would not even take a drink of water until I had weighed myself in the morning. The daily ups and downs were also getting to me. Yes, I might have lost 2 pounds the rest of the week but the .5 I put on in one day bothered me. Every thing I read here said to weigh once a week so I thought I would give it a try. It is driving me crazy to an extent because it is not what I am used to. But I am going to give it another week and see how it goes.

I can't do it, I have to weigh everyday. Not so much obsession as it helps me keep on top of things if I'm getting off track and don't realize it or whatever. But to each his/her own. Also, I am married to a teacher so i understand what you're saying about break. Hope you enjoy the rest of yours!
