30 Day Shred : Day 2 & They fit! :)

Before any mention of my thoughts on day 2 of the work out. I would like to mention the most exciting part of my day. I completed another medium goal.

The gray slacks that i bought 5 years ago fit again. 2 months ago I could barely get them over my hips. A month ago I could barely button them closed without sucking and holding in my belly & almost passing out. Now, they button and zip with ease.

I am now working on my 3rd medium goal.... the Express store pants i bought many years ago and for some reason still have.

So now onto the workout..... Day 2 completed.

The work out was more manageable the second day. My booty is still being kicked in a good way. I work up a nice sweat, and I feel my muscles burn. What more can I ask for?! :)

What I discovered today is that I definitely need to work on my flexibility. When trying to do lunges and you cant go any further because your muscles are too tight is not a good thing. On that note, I need to work on building my muscle strength. I hear Jillian's 30 day shred will definitely work on that.

Now on a more positive note, my cardio is pretty dang good! With that in mind, I, like many others, have to do more cardio after the 30 day shred workout so i have been doing my usual walk/jog in the afternoon. It feels good to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather....heck i even do it in the rain, and it always cracks me up seeing the hand full of other walkers/joggers braving the weather that exchange pleasant nods as we pass : )

If you live on the lower east side of Manhattan and haven't used the promenade I highly recommend it.
