Spring Forward - Restarting "Eat to Live" 6 Week Plan

Tuesday, March 13, 2012

Hello SparkPeople!

It's been a while since my last blog post. I've been falling in and out of eating the "Eat to Live" way. I've been stuck in the 160s, gaining and losing the same few pounds.

I thought that this week would be a good week to restart the "Eat to Live" 6 Week Plan. Yesterday I stuck mostly to the plan, I didn't get enough cooked vegetables but I did pretty well. I've started taking a picture of everything I eat and posting it to Photobucket.

Here's what I had yesterday:
Breakfast - Banana, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, and almonds

Lunch - Spinach and mixed herb salad, red bell pepper, onion, red cabbage and an apple with natural peanut butter (100% peanuts)

Dinner - Eggplant marinara on Quinoa rotini pasta

Dessert - Amande Blueberry Cultured Almondmilk

You can keep up with my Food Journal at this link:

I got a new Polar heart rate monitor that has more features than my last one. It can make a workout plan by inputting some information. For weight loss it suggests I work out for 4 hours and 50 minutes and burn 2,350 calories each week. That comes to about 35 minutes and 336 calories per day.

My goal is to lose 10 pounds by April 9. I'm doing the Dr. Oz Transformation Nation contest and I have to lose 10% of my body weight from my initial weigh-in to qualify for the million dollar prize.

just came across this today....i both need the motivation and can give it. I just purchased "Eat for Life" from Amazon minutes ago, and needed to find some much needed motivation and spark from sparkpeople, which I've been on for some time, but rarely utilize all it has to offer. Now on WW for a few months...and always carry my ETL with me (read this last year). Always need motivation to include more veggies, though i love them. KEEP staying in this healthy groove! emoticon
