The Simple Diet Journal #9 -- An Important Question

Will Anything Get in Your Way?

Dr. Jim and Nancy pose this question in Chapter Three (p. 34). And, I have decided to answer that with a, “No Way!”

Today would be a very easy day to feel discouraged and let things get in my way – and it’s not even 10:00 am yet :-)!!!

1. I have no weight loss to report for the past week. Hello zero!
2. Someone actually made fun of me today for posting on this blog. Ouch! Yet I also thought, “Really??!! Why would you put me down?”

But, these have both come at a time when I’m so in in the zone of staying on course with this plan that they don’t feel like a marker or a defining point. I’ve been so enjoying how I feel – lighter, brighter, pumped about the increase of exercise, happy about eating well on a daily basis – that it’s time to see mini hurdles as just that – hurdles that I will not allow to become huge boulders that are impossible to traverse.

Outta my way you little, tiny, scrawny, mini hurdles – I’m forging ahead!!!!

    Thanks you guys for your great support and encouragement -- it means a lot! I almost wasn't going to post this (about the comment) but I decided to just be open about the journey. Still moving forward -- literally and emotionally -- and off to the track I go!

    Like NDHUNTRESS this has become an IMPORTANT part of my weight loss. It has replaced Facebook for me. I like to be able to express my concerns, fears & successes and know that y'all are with me every step.

    Remember we are here for YOU TOO! Don't let the naysayers get you down. emoticon The only thing we want down is our weight. Keep doing what you're doing. We've got your back!

    I can relate to 1 as I have been turtle slow the last few weeks...trying to exercise more to push past. But just think no loss also means no gain.

    Regarding #2 ignore those who seek to drag you down. For me blogging is an integral part of the plan. It helps me get everything out for all to see. No more hiding, sneaking or lying to myself.

    Keep moving forward you are doing great.
