C25K W2D2 Done :)

Even though my calves were aching yesterday, I still managed to go to Curves and get a good workout. Afterward, my sister and I decided to go ahead and do the C25K run. In my head, I knew I was going to try to go a much slower pace and take it easy since my legs were still sore. After we started, I was shocked at my intervals... I think I am really bad at pacing myself!! I have improved each run and even when I thought I was running so much slower than before, it is still an improvement. emoticon

During the last interval run, the song "Just the way you are" by Bruno Mars came on. I was really pushing myself, saw my sister a ways in front of me, feeling good, could picture myself crossing a finish line, and with my TOM coming soon, I broke out in tears. LOL. I am really doing this and even though every run I start out with doubt, I have finished and know I will. We have 8 weeks until the 5k weekend and I know I will do it. emoticon emoticon

The weekend plan is to start Saturday morning doing the Dart Frog Dash at the Toledo Zoo. 5k for my sister and I (and maybe my 14 yo nephew) and 1k for my two daughters and 9 yo neice. Afterwards, we will go to a waterpark hotel for the day and dinner out to celebrate. The next day we will head to the zoo for Mothers Day and enjoy the time with our kids and our Mother. Is there a better way to spend Mother's Day than creating a new lifestyle for myself and my children? I can't wait! emoticon
