“FITNESS IDEAS” How do you include fitness activities in your daily schedule. What things do you try to do throughout your day to add extra exercise to your life. (An example would be parking far from the entrance to the store to add extra steps.)
I'm not doing very much real fitness right now because my neck is messed up.
I do park in the "back" parking lot so I have to walk through my building to get to my office.
I also make a point of walking to people's offices quite a bit (I send emails instead of talking face to face so I have a black and white "paper" trail, but I still walk around a lot).
I go to the bathroom allll the way down the hall instead of the one next door to my office.
I go shopping frequently and buy small amounts of stuff so I have to go shopping again 'soon'. This allows me to walk the store. It's on the way home so there's no extra gas really involved.
I walk around with my baby niece when I'm at my sisters.
I keep my clothes in the basement so when I get dressed every single morning I have to go up and down at least 1x. If I'm doing laundry I go up and down several times.
I park further away from the stores than need be so I can walk the distance to the doors.
I do a small amount of housework every day.
I stand the whole time I'm cooking on the stove top.
I can't really lift anything heavy right now and I can't walk fast because it jars my neck so this is about the best I can realistically do right now.
