Decluttering My Brain - Just A Quick Blog

I've had a terribly busy week this week, and haven't been around much. Even worse, I haven't even blogged out my plan of attack for pushing myself beyond this comfort zone. I'm working on that. First, I'm going to blog out this other stuff so that it's outta the way and I can focus better. So, this week my husband was called for a job interview on Tuesday morning, went and did testing on Wednesday afternoon, and Friday at 430pm he was offered a job! He starts Monday at 630pm! His schedule is good too - our family has one vehicle and so I'm done work in time to get home for him to leave. We won't need a second vehicle right away, and we aren't going to need daycare either! I'm pumped! He finished training back before Christmas, and it's been a bit of a struggle for us. But finally things are starting to turn around. I'm excited for him to get back out there working again, and for us to move forward now! YAY!
On another note, my oldest is my stepson and since it is March Break here he goes to visit his bio-mom for the week; she's about a 5 hour drive from here. Anyway, there is always so much to be done to get him ready to go, he also spent the day with his Nana and then we had a big family dinner with my folks, sisters and their families before he left. We got up early yesterday and took him to the bus, and he was off. He's a very strong personality in our home, so it's very much noticed when he's not around. I miss him already. He comes home again on St. Patrick's day - which is always a fun day for our family so I'm glad that this year he'll get to be a part of it. I make dinner green, and our drinks are green... and we just have a fun time! After the kidlettes are in bed, we watch Boondock Saints and drink a Guinness.
We took the boys to see The Lorax on Tuesday night too. This is my favourite Dr. Seuss book, so I was eagerly awaiting the movie release since the announcement it was being made a movie! It did not disappoint. We enjoyed it so much - two of us even shed a little tear!
Okay, so back to fitness related stuff - let's just touch base on where I'm at there. I have not been to the gym in days! I have not yet implemented any kind of over-haul to my routine, or eating. My hubby is going to be working evenings, so it's going to be a whole new challenge to get to the gym. He's always been very supportive in staying in with the boys while I go. I will figure that out though. I have not lost focus, I've just been postponed a little I feel. OH! I made a delicious smoothie for breakfast the last couple mornings - vanilla protein powder, some good cocoa powder, and a little instant coffee blended with vanilla soy. It was yummy!
My youngest two boys are away this morning, they had a sleepover at their Aunt's place night, so the house is unusually quiet. There is much housework to be done, but I think I'm going to sign off from here and sit down with a pen and paper and work out my plan for the week ahead. Try and get this done while I can hear myself think.
I also wanted to apologize to the Crimson Butterflies - I have been totally MIA from Spark all week, so I have not contributed to any challenges or group chat. I'm so sorry ladies!
