My calories are okay, but I need more nutrition!

Thanks to everyone who has been so supportive and helpful already! I appreciate it! I now have a sweet little tracker, too.

I had a feeling I may not be able to work out today, so I made sure to get at least a small walk in. It was actually more of a run-jump-walk, and it was really fun, even if it only lasted about 7 minutes! My free time (and my favourite time to work out) is at night. Clearly, though, I can't always wait until I'm done everything else I need to do in a day before working out, or I might not work out! I'll make sure to fit exercise in earlier tomorrow. The good news: I'm excited to move! Can't wait to work out, whether its a run, walk, or weight session.

So, I'm a firm believer in the goodness of popcorn. I make it myself, I don't use a lot of oil, the oil I do use is olive oil, and it's a whole grain. I top it with nutritional yeast and salt and it is so delicious! I'm also a big fan of smoothies made with vegn brand protein powder, calcium fortified OJ, and frozen fruit. I'm not a fan of dairy products, aside from some cheeses, but I think I may start adding some Greek yoghurt for more nutrition. I haven't had a chance to take a close look at the Spark suggestions for nutrition, but I'm hoping they can help me get more out of my calories. The pizza: I knew it wasn't the best idea, but I'd hoped it wasn't the worst. Still--not "clean" (and I didn't really enjoy it). I'm only about 50 cals over my goal (albeit at the high end), so that's good. Actually, I'm 45 over, and my walk earned me 47, so I'm about even! Happy about the calories, but really aware that I need to up my nutrition. No wonder I'm tired!

Random: Often, when I'm listening to a playlist that I created, I forget that I'm listening to a playlist and think that iTunes is set to random and get excited that so many of my favourite songs are being played in a row. Just happened.

I'm going to go look at the menu suggestions for tomorrow, and see what I can do with the groceries I have.

Thanks again for the support! Good luck to all!!

Go You! Way to get a few minutes exercise in...and being aware of what you are eating is so important. You will get better and better at it. Learning new healthier ways to eat old favorites can be fun.

My family didn't want to give up pizza...we found healthier ways to eat it. Tortilla shells as the crust, BBQ sauce (favorite sauce), leftover meats, and tons of veggies. A sprinkle of cheese (even Parmesan). It becomes make your own night... I prefer veggie pizza while the family wants meats and no veggies. I have used salsa or hummus as my sauce with veggies piled high. One serving of cheese (which at first is not enough), and add Parmesan cheese to fill the gap.
