Long time, No SPARK

Friday, March 09, 2012

Hey there friends. It's been a while since I've logged on to Sparkpeople or posted a blog entry. I hope everyone is doing well!

In the time since we've last connected:

* I've been teaching English in Japan for the last 2.5 years
* I've ran a full marathon (my first!)
* I became an ACE-certified personal trainer (as of January 2012!)
* I'm starting to gear up for my second marathon (October 2012)

It would be best for my body to lose about ten pounds before I start marathon training in June--the less excess weight I'm carrying, the easier it will be on my joints.

So here I am! I'm tracking my calories with the Myfitnesspal app on my phone--it's so much easier to use than SparkPeople's--, running, yoga-ing, and staying active in general.

Anyone still out there reading?

Nice way to come back and enjoy the Spark. How awesome to teach overseas! Sounds wonderful to me maybe after my kids are gone and in college but presently needed at home!

Welcome back! I have heart a lot of good things about Myfitnesspal, but I feel too loyal to SP to ever switch. Plus I am in the 1 percent of the population that still doesn't have a smartphone.
