I had a wonderful session today. Eric showed me how all the weight machines work, and now I know how to use the "video game" bike. Also found out why my hips hurt when I work on the elliptical ....did you know that you can adjust the stride??? Me neither.

Anyways, I am now more confident about using the weights. Some of those machines looked so alien and, well, rather painful. Not so scary now. Today was a learning day, so due to time and soaking it all in, I didn't do an actual work out.

Last night I went to basic step class. Sadly I was the only one there. It was the first night of the brand new class. So, the plus, I did get one on one training. The minus, I had to pump myself up to work out in front of a bunch of people, and was hoping to meet people in my boat.....sigh. Oh well, maybe the class will pick up.

So far, I am happy with our decision with the YMCA. Though I have yet to go to the pool

    Good for YOU!! The first step is always the hardest. Now, you have that over with, the rest will come easier and easier!! WOOHOO for all you have and will accomplish!!

    I know how you feel about having to pump yourself up in order to go to a class. At least you will be familiar with the routine the next time you go. That will give you an advantage over the others in the class an may help you to relax. I'm still sore from doing yoga on Wednesday! Yikes, there are some muscles that have been sleeping up to this point!
