You won't believe this!

Do you see that number? Not sure how that happened, but it's been WAY too long since I have seen the 140s...I am going to wait until MOnday to put in my official weight.

I want you all to know that I do realize weighing every day isn't ideal. I like to do it though to see what kind of bloating and water retention the food I eat does. I know that those aren't my ACTUAL weight until my official weigh in day, but I do like seeing the numbers change daily. So, before you lecture me about obsessing over my weight, know that weight really isn't the issue for me...I'm going for body fat loss and inches....I know that I will reevaluate my weight goal when I get down to 145 and see what my body fat is at that point.

Anyway, I feel great! I saw 148.5 this morning and that shows that the foods I ate yesterday didn't cause bloating, so I may add a little bit of rice into my schedule before long runs since it didn't cause issues. Today is potluck day, so I am off my Paleo forlunch, but back on this evening. With the Paleo diet, I don't feel stuck and I don't feel like I need to spiral out of control. It is great! I feel in complete control of myself. =)

Have a great Friday! My brother is in from Fiji for the weekend! Can't wait to hang out!

You won't get any lectures about weighing yourself everyday from me, because I do it too!!!! I also only count my "official" weight once a week.
Thanks for your comment on my page. I am doing good lately, I started calorie cycling this week, and so far, I really like it!!!

    Yay!! Congrats!!

I weigh myself every day for the same reason you mentioned! For me, it feels like a science experiment, a chance to observe the effects of different factors, such as what I eat and drink, where I am in my cycle, and even my emotional state... For example I have been able to observe that though eating a bowl of cherios a day makes me bloated and I can definitely see it on the shape of my stomach, it doesn't seem to actually affect the number on the scale... I like gathering this type of information.. it makes me feel in control... like I am armed to take control of my own body! :)

Hey Goose - Congrats on the scale movement. The Don't Weigh Yourself Daily mindset is only one perspective. The number on the scale, like the body composition numbers and inches are just data.

It's when we get emotionally attached to the data that problems arise. I have been weighing myself 5-6 times a week for over 3 years - primarily to discover if I can find causation in my nutrition and/or exercise - I have, but I am also still flummoxed by some of the results I get.

I think daily weigh-ins are a good source of information - provided we can see it as just information.
