I've been told that eating protein helps stop sugar cravings.
I am going to try this this weekend... see if I can go the whole weekend without not only sugar (which I think I can live without) BUT FAKE SWEETENERS too.
I've been pretty good about maintaining enough proteins as far as the 2 servings 3x a day guidelines, but the Atkins site says I should be getting (for a low carb diet) about 12-18 oz of meat. I do not think I'm eating anywhere near that, which may be part of the problem.
I am also eating plenty of veggies. I have found in the past that if I eat just meat (because it's simpler) I start eating poorly. When I eat veggies every day I am more likely to maintain integrity.
