Boot Camp Day 1

I signed up for the SP Bootcamp Challenge team today. Checking out all the info and did the first video in the series. I joined because I wanted to prove to myself that I could stick with something for a certain amount of time. I have certainly failed at my assorted attempts so far. So, it's just 28 days. And what better day to start this than our wedding anniversary? Talked it over with my husband and our gift to each other next year is going to be to be closer to our weight goals. We would like to have lots more years together. We've got a plan together and I hope to implement it soon with hubby. I started mine today. He won't be doing boot camp, but is along for the getting healthy ride.

I did the 10 min video for day 1 and then wanted to do a little more, didn't have a lot of time, but walked around the block for an additional 20 mins. Wasn't much, but that is 2 days in a row of activity. Not my longest streak, but I hope this is the beginning of my longest streak in about 3 years.

I also have some more motivation as well. I have group presentations in Ethics at the end of the month. I need some new "professional clothes" since my other suit is still thankfully too big. Went shopping tonight and found a very nice gray pinstripe suit and a lovely pink shirt, only problem is that it only goes up to a 14. I need at least a 16. So going to work extra hard to get into that suit before the end of the month. Also have the perfect pair of shoes picked out for it. It is all about motivation!
