A Walk in the Park :)

I am on a mission to eat healthier, more nutrient dense food. Hubby and I have started steaming lots of fresh veggies, getting one meat choice and sharing, eating more fruits as "dessert". I have come a long way. This was a 3 splenda/blue pack/pink pack per cup of coffee girl, and now nothing, just half and half. Same with tea, now we only drink unsweetened. Sometimes just to change it up, I might use about a fourth of a pack of splenda and it is almost to sweet for me. Amazing how taste buds change. So, now I am targeting tomatoes, carrots and beets. I have never been able to sit down and eat a plain slice of tomato, Mom has them on the table every night during summer. I may not ever be able to do that, but I would like to enjoy them a little more. Beets are similar, don't care for them at all. My grandmother lived for pickled beets, and all I can say even now is YUCKY!! :) Maybe one day. I love cooked carrots, but not plain. This one is a little easier. I bought snack packs of carrots with a little bit of ranch and am easeing into eating them plain, same idea as with the sweetner there.

Went for a nice walk/jog in the park today and took some pics on my phone to post, but I can't find my adapter. I'll keep looking and will post them if I find it. It is a beautiful day and I had a lovely walk. I've been in a funk the last few days, and it really helped to lift my spirits.

I am hovering so close to 200 and I want to see that scale start going down. 50 pounds, that's all I lack, come on girl, You Got This!
