Changing my mindset.....

Diet, restriction, can't have that, deprivation, hungry- these are all words I've used in my eating vocabulary that I'm throwing away. Though I do need to be more strict with myself in the beginning I know that gradually I'll be able to have almost anything in moderation. The first two months are always the hardest for me when changing a habit and I have some plans in place to battle through these rough times.

Today I had my first month weigh in at Curves and it was horrible. I gained weight AND I gained inches. I think most of the reason why would be because I lie to myself. I tell myself I'm eating healthy but I don't track so I'm not 100% positive I'm making the best choices. That stops today. Today I'm tracking and tomorrow too. Tracking is absolutely my key to weight loss success and I know that.

Joining curves and tracking are just some of the positive changes I am making. Many more, and probably more vital changes, will come in the form of a more positive attitude about losing weight and about my ability to do so. I'm taking things five pounds at a time and one day at a time.
