I Love My Muffin Top!

Monday, March 05, 2012

I love my muffin top! Well, my muffin top baking pan, that is...

I got a new Wilton muffin top/whoopie pie baking pan this weekend and IT IS FABULOUS! I christened it by making Homemade Chocolate Vitatops. The recipe is from the "Runs for Cookies" recipe blog: www.runsforcookiesrecipe
s.blogspot.com/2011/09/hom
emade-chocolate-vitatops.html

They came out as picture perfect as the recipe photos, which almost never happens to me. They weren't quite as sweet as I'd expected, but they were delicious.

The pan cooked them perfectly, and it's truly non-stick. The muffins slid right out! In case you're interested, I got the Wilton Nonstick 12-Cavity Whoopie Pie Pan on amazon.com

Maybe I can indulge in a top (which is my favorite part anyway) for less calories than a regular muffin, since it's not as dense. I'll have to figure that one out. Wouldn't it be great if my muffin top would help get rid of my muffin top?

    Funny!!..... Your last comment! emoticon
but seriously, that's a Neat-O buy! I could bake healthy energy bars...perfectly sized and to top it off - they slide right out - easy!

No, I couldn't do it, but if you can - more power to ya! Put the recipe in the recipe calculator on here. I ALWAYS do that before I make a new recipe, that way I can change my mind if it's too "high". In fact, I'm fixing to put in a recipe for "Fat Flush" soup and one for crock pot Chicken Cordon Bleu as we speak. Even if the nutrition info is listed, I don't always trust it, so I go ahead and put the recipe in the calculator on here - so I can click and track.

But anything sweet? NADA!! I would eat the whole pan!!

Sounds like an awesome pan. I will have to read more about it!
I am in the mood to do some more baking again.
I love all the recipes they have on this site!

Lol- you got me on this one, SHRINK!

I am afraid to make anything in batches of more than, say, ONE(!) for fear of eating all 12 (or whatever) healthy muffin tops (or whatever!) ;P

But who knows, maybe this is a muffin top I can get behind! emoticon

I just make the muffins and throw the bottoms away. Granted, it is rare that I make them anyway... I tend to like them too much!

Omg I've never heard of one of those but that's a great idea (as long as it's muffins not cupcakes lol)
