Dr Pepper Fixation

I just figured out. I am a comfort eater.

I don't feel good tonight and I want food. Any food except fruit. I want Dr Pepper and nachos. I really want Dr Pepper. To the point, that I was considering getting up, getting dressed, getting in the car and driving the 15 miles to the closest store.

It really is sad, how badly I want one. I want a Dr Pepper more than I have ever wanted a cigarette in my entire life.

Pathetic really, when you think about it, but that is the way it is. When I am sick, I want Dr Pepper and spicy food. Any other day, I can pass it by but give me a sore throat, headache and fever and I want one NOW and nothing else hits the spot.

    I love your honesty! So I'm wondering...did you go get that Dr. Pepper??? :) I agree with Kathy, sometimes we simply must have our craving and lighten it up if we can. But it is also wonderful to work through the craving period to wake up the next morning realizing that we made it! Woo Hoo! The more we replace those moments with positive things...the more we don't want those cravings any more. And I like cherry vanilla diet DP too. I only drink them on occassion.

    don't crave for things just makes things worse keep a stach of dr pepper zero in the house hope you get better soon

    Stay strong! If you really feel you gotta have it, then yes, the diet kind would be the way to go, but also think how PROUD you will feel to hang in there and beat that craving. When I started realizing some of my trigger foods and knew I had to cut them out or it meant a binge, it was tough. Now, I don't even want them anymore. emoticon

    well i love dr pepper also and i have found out that the cherry/villa diet dr pepper is really good and sometime i like to have a snack and i will drink one of them and have me some peanut butter and crackers . and i end up satified really goods. u should try it .it just might feel good to u emoticon emoticon emoticon
