Getting Mentally Tough

Thank you to my friend 55Walker for recommending the 21 day free mental toughness challenge to help with my eating plan. The website is www.fatloser.com It is very interesting. I joined today and will spend the next 21 days being coached by Steve Siebold’s videos for FREE. I also just ordered his book because his approach fascinates me, but you don’t have to.

Anyhow, this past week I did great until Friday. On Friday I worked from 6:30am until 9:30pm. No joke. Most of it was off the clock- ugh! But it was the night of the big fundraiser/ Family Night I’ve been organizing for months. It was a huge success! However, I didn’t have time to eat properly. I ate cliff bars for energy and a veggie sub for dinner. Not great. I spent most of Saturday sleeping and eating carbs. Today I was back on.

I’m keeping my food simple: Green smoothie (with spinach, a banana, ½ cup frozen strawberries, ice, water, and a scoop of vegan shakeology) for breakfast, Salad with beans and fruit for lunch, and another salad with beans and fruit for dinner. I need to research my exercise options.

I’m feeling excited about the mental toughness coaching. I’m jumping on that, sticking with my diet, and I’m going to research my exercise options this week.

    Hey Debbie, it's great to see you posting again and really into working your program as if your life depended on it! You go, Girl!

    Word of caution: spinach is dangerous to our absorption of calcium due to the oxalates it contains, so switch up and use kale, parsley or even arugula some of the time. I have a serious health problem now, osteoporosis, and I fear my daily use of spinach for a couple of years might be part of that problem. i'll blog about it soon so folks have a better idea what's up with me.

    We all have days of Clif Bars and veggie subs. Thankfully they are few and far between. back on track and feeling great! I'm definitely going to have to check out that website. Thanks for mentioning it.
