Long Story: Day 12 & 13

So I felt really bad yesterday and just got home from work and knocked out. I didn't feel that great yesterday so I was just lazy all day. It might have to do with the emotional toll this week had on me or the fact that I pigged out on bags of chips. I'm not so sure anymore.

I hope tomorrow will be the start of a GREAT new week. I really want to get back on track. I have to get back on track.

Well I'm off to bed.

    Hello hello!

    You are right that tomorrow is a new day. If we focus on the small mistakes that we make instead of the accomplishments then, we will just set ourselves up for failure. So you ate a bag of chips, wasn't the best choice but, now it's time to move forward. Sunday begins the new week, instead of reflecting on the bad, take a step forward. The not so good choices we made last week don't have to stick with us and weigh us down. Having more good nutrition/fitness days then bad is the key to success.

    When you are feeling down or emotional attempt to re-train (it is hard) your habit to reach for snacks with doing something positive for yourself. I put post it notes on all my snack food reminding me there are better things to do. I take the dogs out, play some video games (I'm a big nerd heh) or just keep myself busy with house work. In the event I do cheat (hey we aren't perfect!), I try not to linger on it, squeeze in another work out and move on. I know you can do it, you are breaking what may be a lifetime of eating habits and this is only Day 13 for you!

    .S. I noticed your breakfasts were kind of light. I find for myself I am more snackish and vulnerable when I don't eat a good solid breakfast. If you are pressed for time you can use instant oatmeal, (I use one without added sugar) cereal, or even some toast with a small amount of jam and pb along with some fruit. Generally my breakfasts are in the 300-500 calorie range and I snack on vegies and some fruit throughout the day on top of my meals. For someone who is on a "diet" I am constantly eating!
