What I Did Today!

Saturday, March 03, 2012

I think I've been doing pretty good lately, at least on the weekends.

Although I went out for Chinese food with a friend last evening, I'm still not doing too badly in the food department. I may have chosen my General Tao chicken, along with my Sweet & Sour chicken, fried rice, shrimp & one Peking ravioli, but I also loaded up on green beans & chicken & broccoli. See, not TOO bad, huh?

Today for breakfast I had a chicken sandwich on small pita bread, then ate the very same thing for lunch. I filled the pockets with fresh spinach, tomatoes, chicken breast meat & low fat mayo. At lunchtime I also added a half-sour pickle to menu.

Below is a picture of my dinner.

It is Smart Ones Lasagna with traditional meat sauce, green beans & onions cooked in chicken broth & a nice glass of white zinfandel wine.

For desert I 330 calories worth of Pringles & a Smart Ones Turtle Sundae.

This morning I managed to get in my strength training for both lower body & core, then took a spin around the inside of my house for 23 minutes. I walked & danced around again this evening for another 10 minutes.

Unfortunately, after my walk, I went to move a box that is in my living room & managed to pull out my back. I promptly called my chiropractor who told me to come right in, even though his office had already closed. I thought he closed at 11 a.m., but he really closes at 10 a.m. Tomorrow he is not open, but wants me to go in for 8:50 for another adjustment. He is such a nice doctor. I've been resting most of the day so my back is now feeling MUCH better. I may give him a call in the morning & tell him I feel okay now. I'll let him make that decision. I do know that when he has to see a patient two or three days in the same week, he doesn't charge for the extra visits. Like I said, he is remarkable.

Well, that's about it for today. I think I'm going to go & put my body into bed now.

As always, thanks for taking the time to read & comment on my blogs.

Hi "MYBULLDOGS" I was going to write a thank you on your page, but you have it set to private.

Thanks so much for the loving suggestion. Your meal sounds delicious, I'll have to give it a try. How in the world did you find out what your body chemistry is?

find foods that work with YOUR body chemistry.

i make this mixture for breakfast , lunch and dinner. i have lost 34 pounds .

i cook 4 large portabella mushrooms sliced, balsamic vinegar, olive oil, 4 large onions sliced, 2 large green peppers, 3 cans green beans, 1 can rutabaga and 5 sliced chicken sausages. find foods that work with your chemistry. i created this meal on my own. i can't seem to loose weight if i eat any grain products. so one day i experimented.

it makes enough for at least 4 days, three meals a day. total cost is 12 dollars. i buy the mushrooms and chicken at sams club. sounds crazy but it taste good and most importantly it's working. i'm not hungry . if i feel the urge to cheat i go get a fork full of my mixture. i chew very slowly as to enjoy my meal.

i have added a small banana and grapes for my snacks and to be a fix for my sweet tooth.

you can add other foods into your menu. just know what works with your body chemistry.

I have gone from 198 to 164 pounds. i can now fit into a size 14 comfortably. i feel so much better. think of carrying a 2 year old around your waist every minute of every day. no i am not done. on the obese chart i have gone from being obese to just plain fat. my goal is to drop another 22 pounds. then i will be happy, healthy and never allow myself to get in this condition again.

one might say eating the same food every day would get boring. not true. when you look in the mirror and can see the difference it's worth

i went to the doctor. for the first time in a long time i was not ashamed to get on the scale. i did not have to get beet red because doctor said i was over weight. it felt GREAT.
