The Simple Diet Journal #4 -- A Hungry Day
Saturday, March 03, 2012
Yesterday was one very hungry day. But, somehow, I kept plowing through it.
It's curious to me how I can go for days and feel totally fine on this diet, and then every once in a while, it's just a very hungry day.
While walking at a mall last night to clock in my 2 miles for the day, I heard a small baby crying, and I thought, "I hear ya pain, babe, being hungry doesn't feel very comfortable at all."
Now, I'm so glad that I've been reading the book, because I knew I had a safety escape -- and I think it's been one of those extremely helpful arrows in my quiver/pearls in my pocket kind of advice. Probably something I'll carry with me for the rest of my life.
From Page 52:
"Still feel hungry? Go ahead and have an extra meal replacement or more fruits and vegetables. It's hard to overeat with these foods, and having the extra servings of meal replacements or fruits and vegetables will keep you from going off your plan . . .
Remember, people who stay on the plan, even if they use more than the minimum number of meal replacements, fruits, and vegetables, are the ones who lose the most weight."
So, did I eat more yesterday? In fact, I didn't. Although I would have felt fine if I did. But, my mindset yesterday was to forge ahead and not add extras. I decided, however, to have one of my go-to most filling meals on this plan -- and with a nice cup of tea, I was ready to say, "Hello Weekend!"
