Could I be `tiny` in Taiwan?
Friday, March 02, 2012
Hello everyone,
It`s rather late here in Russia, around 2:00 AM but my mind is centred on a new and specific health/weight loss goal and I might as well share! Typically I don`t let the cat out of the bag so to speak until I have 99.% certainty something is going to happen but here goes. My old room mate and close friend from my grad school days in Australia (way back in 2010 LOL) is returning to visit her family in Taiwan this August and she has her heart set on my coming to visit her and her family for a week at the beginning of this Summer. I am currently budgeting but flying from Moscow to Taipei is surprisingly cheaper than I thought it would be so-- so it looks like Taiwan Summer 2012 it is!
When we were room mates I was just beginning my quest to lose weight and she knows that I am still working hard at meeting my final goal which is right in the middle of a healthy BMI for someone of my height. I have about 40 more pounds to go (62 pounds lost already. )
I began crunching numbers earlier this evening and I have approximately 23 more weeks until Taiwan time! It`s exciting to think what I might look and feel like if I lost even one pound a week up to that point! Even better if I averaged 1.5 or 2 pounds a week! If I lost 1 pound a week I would be 20 shy of my overall goal weight and if I averaged 1.5 only nine pounds away! How amazing would it be to reuinite with my friend, meet her family and live it up in Taiwan a `tiny` me!?
Naturally, the reason I am part of Sparkpeople and have been here two years is because health is number one, but the goal of looking `hot` in Taiwan is just the extra little bit to keep me motivated this cold, gray Russian winter!
Please note I use this word `tiny` in a very subjective manner...given my frame I`ll never be `petite` :)
My room mate and I in October 2010 I was about 30 pounds heavier then.
