SPRING (with pics)
Thursday, March 01, 2012
as the end of zone C's vacation approaches, i dragged DD & DH out for a walk along la promenade plantée ou coulée verte, the French inspiration for New York's High Line. and was i surprised! lots more flowers and trees in bloom than i had seen last Sunday in the Jardin des Plantes. DH's phone provides proof positive that spring is arriving (as Becky's heart told her today):
it was a kind of dark gray day, so you can't see the flowers all that well on this tree, but still ...
Then DH & I splurged and went out to a great pastry/chocolate shop (brought it home & we all shared one really delicious piece, so that wasn't so poorly behaved:-) and passed through le square du Temple on the way. lots of daffodils in bloom there already, buds on the rhododendrons. I need to get my own some kind of camera!
my bootcamp with my trainer (a long-ago sparker great success story) starts Monday. she's running the Paris Half on Sunday (she forgot that when she set up the dates).
i love spring. and one of the things i love about SP is that so do so many of the rest of you ... running (and walking) in the spring is so exhilarating!
and now, back to work. hugs to you all.
