Simple Diet, Day 2 of Accountability

Hello all,

Even though I started this nearly 4 weeks ago I am calling this day 2 accountability as I begin to write about my venture each day. Someone mentioned it was good to write in this blog and I thank them. I do see this as a way to vent when upset at myself for doing wrong, to rejoice when I fulfill the necessary requirements of this plan and be thankful to have team partners that are following in the same path as myself.
Today has been a good day. Stayed on the plan 100% and got in some walking before the rain started. Tonight I will get my much needed 8 hours sleep as I was unable to do that last night. And believe me sleep is part of the plan I have found out. I am one who researches on line a lot about weight loss and every plan or weight site talks about the need to get a good nights sleep. Also upon researching drinking protein shakes I discovered it is good that you have a shake within an hour or so of bedtime but the key is to make sure is has a form of Casein in it. It is in the vanilla EAS I have. Reports say it is slower to digest so that makes it good for you while sleeping. I usually have my 3rd or 4th shake an hour before bedtime so I am going to make sure it has this in it. I have the designer whey powder but it not in it. I will check other shakes and let you know which one contain it.
Before ending I want to say thank you to all for the comments and if I can be of any help whether it be chatting or researching for you feel free to let me now. I am a homemaker with lots of time on my hands which is how I originally starting gaining to weight. My children,and grands live 8 to 11 hours away so do not see them much and hubby is away at work for 11 hours or more each day.
I also want to thank our new co-leader for already starting out on this with good ideas and hopefully we will be able to make this a new family of winners in our permanent weight loss venture. We all want this and my mother always taught me if you want it bad enough you can accomplish it. She is gone now but in growing up she was always overweight but when I got married she decided after seeing the wedding photos she needed to change. That is what she did over that next year. She went from a size 26-28 dress to a 12. I never knew her weight but like her I will lose this on this plan as I know all of you can if we just stick together.

    Congrats on a great day staying on plan. And, the story of your mom is very touching. It's special to have an example of someone you knew so well. Thanks for sharing that.

    One of the ingredients in the vanilla carb control EAS is calcium caseinate so that is what I am drinking each night. Let me know what you find about powders and I will do the same for everyone.

    I loved your blog. I also love the new information about having the protein shake an hour before bed.

    Did a quick google of Casein and it seems to be a different protein powder (not whey) I will have to see if they have it at Wal-Mart or stop at GNC would like to look into this.
