TOPS Weekly Weigh In 2/28/12

Wednesday, February 29, 2012

I was down only 1/2 a pound at my TOPS weigh in last night. According to my scale it was more than that. I have to take into account that I weigh more in the evening than in the morning, and it depends on what I have eaten during the day too. Oh well, I'm happy. Losing even 1/2 a pound is better than a gain any day.

Don't get discouraged. That has happened to me so many times. It can mean the difference of what time you drank your water or when you ate last. It will likely show up next week.

I've been overseas since I started SP. I have no scale and I find it is rather freeing. I'm in TOPS as well and weigh weekly when I am home. I think I stress over the scale too much. This past 2 months without a scale makes me concentrate on what I am eating more and not worrying about a weigh in makes me feel I have to be honest to see a loss when I see a scale!

I managed to find a scale at the hotel I am living in. I had to convert from Kilograms to Pounds and discovered after 2 months I lost 20 pounds.

I find that if I were home and stressing over the scale it can actually be a detriment to my eating plan. I get bummed if I tried all week and didn't see a loss. I think the time away from the scale has given me a gift. I know if I am trying that in the long run I will lose the weight. I don't expect as much and that in itself is a blessing. I am more relaxed. I know it isn't a horse race and I will get there when I get there!

I know going to TOPS you have to weigh in each week but try to think of the progress you made and the weight will come off!
